Nachdem in den Jahren zuvor, die Spende mehr oder weniger anonym an den Förderverein der Kinderkrebsstation überwiesen wurde, wollten wir uns in diesem Jahr mal persönlich ein Bild machen.
Am Samstag, den 14.11.15, war es endlich so weit. Wir, das „Orga-Team“ sind nach Münster gefahren um „unsere“ Spende persönlich zu überreichen.
Bei dieser Gelegenheit haben wir uns vor Ort über die Arbeit des Fördervereins und somit über den Verbleib der Spende erkundigt.
Der Verein wurde im Dezember 1982 gegründet. Die 82 Gründungsmitglieder waren fast alles betroffene Eltern. Man hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, sowohl die Situation auf der Station selber, als auch die Betreuung betroffener Eltern zu verbessern.
Die beiden Vorstandsmitglieder Anette und Manfred Blomberg, die uns im sogenannten Elternhaus begrüßten, konnten uns ausführlich über die Tätigkeit des Fördervereins informieren.
Im Laufe der Zeit wurden viele kleine, aber auch große Projekte in Angriff genommen und auch umgesetzt. Teilweise handelt es um Vorschläge, die aus den Reihen der Kinder und deren Eltern kamen, aber auch das Pflegepersonal kommt immer wieder mit Ideen auf den Förderverein zu.
Einige dieser Ideen werden dann vom Förderverein ins Leben gerufen und aus dem Spendentopf finanziert und später, wenn sich alle einig sind, dass dadurch der Aufenthalt der Kinder auf der Station angenehmer wird, von der Uniklinik übernommen und weiter geführt.
Wir haben uns dann entschlossen, dass unsere Spende, die ja durch den Sport zustande kam, auch dem Sport zu Gute kommen soll. Somit wird das Geld für die Finanzierung einer neuen Stelle im Bereich Sportwissenschaft eingesetzt, die mit div. Sportangeboten auf der Station, die Kinder zur Bewegung animieren will. Hierbei ist es natürlich extrem wichtig, dass das Sportangebot individuell dem Krankheitsbild des einzelnen Patienten angepasst wird.
Abschließend, und da waren wir uns alle einig, sind wir uns sicher, dass die Spende hier gut angelegt ist, weil hier wirklich, da alle Mitarbeiter des Fördervereins ehrenamtlich tätig sind, jeder Cent den Kindern zu Gute kommt.
Auch im nächsten Jahr heißt Motto des Beachvolleyballturniers wieder: Spielen für die gute Sache, jeder erspielte Punkt = einen Euro für die Kinderkrebsstation Münster
